Horse and Rider, Connected by Fascia: Two bodies, One Network with Tom Myers and Mary Wanless

Horse and Rider, Connected by Fascia: Two bodies, One Network with Tom Myers and Mary Wanless The relationship between horse and rider is so wonderfully simple and yet mind-bendingly complex. Tom and Mary elucidate the biomechanics for clear communication between horse and rider (and back again). For teachers and healers, we show how to ‘bodyread’ the dance between rider and horse. To make this analysis accessible, Tom and Mary open up the particular myofascial lines of force transmission in both horse and rider, to make corrections to the ‘un-obvious’, since our corrections to the obvious are so often ineffective. The goal is a feeling of one-ness between horse and rider. Understanding the lines in both ‘animals’ leads to better riders, happier horses, and a deeper relationship between the two.
